John Lewis treated 12 young carers to a day out at Chessington World of Adventures. Amy, a member of our Care Staff shares their story of the day: “We started the fun-filled day by being wildlife explorers; we saw lions, tigers and gorillas too. After our wildlife exploring we went to the Sea Life centre, where we explored the weird and wonderful creatures that live under the sea and we even got to touch a shrimp, which was a first for everyone involved! But the highlight of the day for most of the young carers was watching a Sea Lion show. Finally at the end of the day, our friends from John Lewis gave us each a Monty and Mabel penguin to take home.” Thanks to John Lewis for another amazing day out and your ongoing support.
Martina, one of our volunteers, recently received an award for her amazing work!

Thank you to everyone who attended this years HMS Sultan summer show. Honeypot received a fantastic £500 donation; enough to pay for a years support for a young carer or vulnerable child. Pictured below is our regional fundraiser, Emma Larter, accepting the cheque.
One of our amazing Honeypot Volunteers, Martina Green, was presented with an award yesterday, for an outstanding voluntary contribution to Honeypot. The award recognizes volunteers in Southampton who have donated over 100 hours of their time to good causes, and was presented by the Lady Mayoress. Clare Holloway, Children's Services Manager at Honeypot, said: "Martina’s work ethics demonstrate commitment, compassion and a true understanding of the Honeypot ethos. She is an exceptional young lady". We would like to say a big thank you and well done to Martina... without our fantastic Honeypot volunteers we would be unable to support vulnerable children and young carers.
This half term we are welcoming 12 children on their first visit to Honeypot house. For some, this is the 1st time they've been on holiday.
