Street Child Africa

Street Child Africa is a small charity, making a big difference. We are committed to helping street children in the five sub-Saharan African counties in which we work; Ghana, Mozambique, Senegal, Zambia and DR Congo. Since 2012, we have helped our partners reach more than 55,000 children and vulnerable families. We work with local partner organisations in sub-Saharan Africa to support street-connected children. Every organisation we support is dedicated to improving the lives and long term prospects of street children. We aim to engage, empower, and educate children who are often uncounted and unheard and give street children safe places to learn, play, and grow.

A big Christmas thank you to boys from The Mall School who ran a stall at the school fair and raised £240 for street children!

We know it requires organisation and commitment to make this happen and we wanted everyone to know how much it means to us as well, of course, as the street children we support.

How can one of our Kits for Kids change a life? Well, you could be supporting quality football training and mentoring for children at risk of turning to the street, or you could be providing young children with a chance to succeed at school and a great deal of fun! Maybe you could be enabling young women to be trained in hairdressing so they can be financially independent, or perhaps you could even enable women to start their own businesses.

Huge congratulations and thanks to Annemarie Williams on completing the New York marathon and raising money for street children.

She says "I can honestly say it was one of the hardest things I have ever done. Thinking about the charity and the fundraising was one of the things that kept me going when it got really tough."

Fantastic to have such an amazing supporter!!

I love seeing "true size" maps. Helps people get a better perspective of how big the world is outside their window.
