K to College

K to College is a nonprofit organization with the mission of addressing the unmet material needs of homeless and other impoverished children, and adults working towards self-sufficiency. Modeling the approach of food banks, K to College acts as a central hub that works directly with manufacturers, government agencies and private partners to acquire basic materials cheaply or in-kind and send them to children and youth in need through partnering local agencies. From 2010 to 2014, K to College distributed more than $17 million dollars of age-appropriate materials to more than 300,000 low-income kids throughout California.
