INTASAVE Nature

INTASAVE Nature protects and conserves wildlife and nature in Africa, Asia and the Caribbean. Restoring and transplanting coral reef, protecting animals large and small, and preserving the natural environment for future generations. People, animals and the environment are at the heart of what we do. We work on marine conservation, coral restoration, sustainable energy for development (such as solar powered grids for African communities), and essential wildlife conservation work across the globe. By supporting INTASAVE Nature, you are making our essential work possible and helping to protect the planet and everything that makes it so special.

A beautiful lionfish swims in clear waters. Though gorgeous to our eyes, the lionfish are bad news for Caribbean marine ecosystems. They reproduce very fast (about every four days!) and are voracious predators. CARIBSAVE has partnered with local fisherfolk to tackle this invasive species. To protect the diversity of reef ecosystems, we are encouraging lionfish catch to control its population. It turns out lionfish are not only beautiful, they are also delicious! Did you know one elephant dies every 15 seconds?

The ivory trade is stronger than ever. We need your help: stop buying all ivory products, or we may witness an extinction of one of our most intelligent and beautiful species.

The Sustainable Development Goals #SDGs launched last Friday. Goal 14 is "To conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development" which will significantly impact our work. This goal is brave and bold, and we look forward to seeing big changes in our ability to conserve marine biodiversity.
